The Head of Godavari Municipality Committed on Uplifting, Agricultural and Livestock Insurance and Home Insurance on Planned Manner

Kathmandu : The Insurance Commission of Nepal Insurance Authority completed an interaction program related to insurance in Godavari municipality in Lalitpur district on 21st September, Thursday.Gajendra Maharjan, the Chief of Godavari Municipality,was present as the chief guest at the program.

He expressed his commitment to advance agriculture and livestock insurance and home insurance in a planned manner.He also said that since the relief arrangement will not solve the problem, insurance should be used to transfer the risk and provide financial protection.In the meeting ,Dinesh Kumar Lal, director of Nepal Insurance Authority, said that we should include insurance facility on municipal services  so that the risk of property including houses will be transferred from insurance to insurance companies and financial security will be provided.

Director Lal also said that as accident can happen at anytime  so he requested municipality to encourage people to have accident insurance and agriculture and livestock insurance and also  help the disadvantaged groups on providing insurance.Nirmal Adhikari, Deputy Director of Nepal Insurance Authority, gave a presentation on the overall issues related to insurance in the program.

People’s representatives and employees of Godavari municipality and representatives of insurance companies also participated in the program.The program was conducted by Nischal Raj Baniya, Assistant Director of Nepal Insurance Authority.
