Federation President Dhakal Urges non-Resident Nepalese to Increase Investment in Nepal

Kathmandu : Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of the Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has urged the non-resident Nepalese in the UK to increase investment as there are abundant investment opportunities in Nepal.

Addressing the program organized by the Nepal Public Relations Committee in London, Chairman Dhakal urged to increase investment as the return of investment in Nepal’s hydropower and tourism is high.

Chandragiri Hills has become an attractive tourist destination in Nepal with the investment of non-resident Nepalese in the UK and Chandragiri Hills has become an attractive tourist destination in Nepal and has given high returns. He said there is no reason to hesitate to increase investment.

Mentioning that cable car projects with hill stations like Chandragiri have been started in all seven provinces, President Dhakal also asked for investment in tourism infrastructure projects in the provinces where he was born and brought up.

He said that the Jalpadevi cable car project has entered the construction stage at Sickles in Kaski, Pathibhara in Taplejung and Chisapani in Karnali and said that the investment opportunity is at hand.

Since the hydropower project in Myagdi has been completed in collaboration with non-resident Nepalese, he requested to increase investment in other hydropower projects as well.

He said that the problems seen in Nepal’s economy due to the effects of the global crisis are being solved, remittances have come in significantly, tourist arrivals have improved and the investment environment is improving as the amount of investment in the banking sector is increasing. President Dhakal called to cover the investment opportunities in Nepal without paying attention to the negative things spread through social media.

He said that in terms of investment and returns, there are opportunities in Nepal, so there should be no delay in taking advantage of them.
