”GAI” Food and Beverage Hospitality 2023′ Starting Today at Bhrikutimandap

Kathmandu : ‘GAI Food and Beverage and Hospitality 2023’ will be organized from today 5-7 October at Bhrikutimandap. ‘GAI Food & Beverage & Hospitality 2023’ is the only comprehensive expo in this sector which has the fastest growth rate in Nepal, focusing specifically on food beverages and hospitality.

At present, it can be seen that there has been a huge increase in the number of food, beverages, hotels, restaurants, and party palaces as they are becoming a good center of profit and revenue.

If we look at the last 20 years alone, hotels, restaurants, party palaces, take-away food outlets, street food vendors and grocery stores have opened innumerable around us.

Also, in the next one-two years, more than 25 hotels of 3 to 5 star category will come into operation. The food and beverage industry has grown rapidly with an annual growth rate of 7.3 percent between 2006 and 2019, which is much higher than the overall manufacturing industry.

While the overall economy of Nepal is growing at the rate of 3% to 4%, the FMCG industry is seen to grow by 20% which is very remarkable.In 2017-18, Nepal imported food and beverages worth Rs 13,551 crore and exported Rs 3.2 billion.

The total number of food and beverage industries in Nepal is 25,500, of which 24,940 are involved in food production and the remaining 560 are involved in beverage production. Also the number of people involved in the food and beverage industry is 93,806, of which 84,217 people are from the food production sector and 9,589 people are involved in the beverage production sector. Through this fair, the visitors will get a detailed understanding of food, beverage and hospitality products and services, and the number of exhibitors has increased by 25% this year compared to last year, the organizer says.

There will be 5000 production services, 200 companies and 150 stalls of more than 1800 square meters will be operating in the fair.It will be a great opportunity for visitors to taste new food and beverages as companies will provide detailed information about their product features, schemes or offers, flavors etc.
