Deposit collection of banks and financial institutions above 60 billion
Kathmandu : The deposit collection of banks and financial institutions has reached over 60 billion. According to the statistics of Nepal Central Bank, the deposit collection of banks and financial institutions has reached 60 trillion 3 billion rupees by 28th of November.
By November 27th, the total deposits were 59 trillion 95 billion, but on 28th, it increased by 8 billion rupees to over 60 billion. This deposit is the highest ever in banks and financial institutions. Central Bank’s data shows that the total deposit of commercial banks alone is 53 billion 13 billion rupees.
Lately, deposit collection in banks and financial institutions is continuously increasing. As a result, the investable amount is constantly increasing. By last Thursday, the average CD ratio of banks has dropped to 80.36 percent. According to this, it seems that more than 5 and a half billion investable funds are accumulated in the banks.
According to the Central Bank, the credit investment of the banks has also reached about 50 billion rupees by Thursday. As of Thursday, the total loan investment of banks and financial institutions is 49 trillion 95 billion rupees. The investment of commercial banks alone has reached 44 trillion 17 billion rupees.
