Kathmandu : Central Bank is withdrawing liquidity for the 12th time in a month after the accumulation of liquidity in the banking system. Central Bank is going to draw 25 billion rupees of liquidity through deposit collection on Wednesday. Deposit collection policy is one of the various instruments used by the National Bank to account for excess liquidity in the banking system for a certain period of time. Under this, the National Bank collects deposits from banks and financial institutions by determining the interest rate on the basis of speech. Although there is a system where deposits can be collected at the deposit collection rate without talking, lately the central bank has been withdrawing money through talking.

The deposit collection to be done on Wednesday is for a period of 14 days. They are collecting 12 times starting from November 6th and also on Wednesdays. Until Tuesday, the National Bank had called for 1 trillion 65 billion. One trillion 47 billion 25 crore rupees have been withdrawn from banks and financial institutions.

There is an excess of 33 billion rupees in the system. This is by reducing the Required Liquidity Ratio (CRR). However, the liquidity with credit-deposit ratio (CD ratio) is around 6 trillion rupees.
