Court ordered to release Arun Chaudhary, who was involved in the Bansbari Case
Kathmandu : The Kathmandu District Court has ordered the release of businessman Arun Chaudhary, who was involved in the Bansbari scam case, by 6th of February, 2024 A.D . When he was made appeared in court for an extension, the court agreed to extend the deadline by two days to be effective until 5th of February, 2024 A.D which is Monday, but ordered him to be released by Tuesday.
The bench of Judge Yagya Prasad Acharya of Kathmandu District Court has ordered the CIB to file the documents to assist in the investigation and leave the rest of the investigation to be completed as it has not been completely proved for his involvement.
According to section 14,960 of the Civil Criminal Procedure Code 2074 B.S, the court gave the said order. The court ordered the release of two other people arrested in the same case by Tuesday.
The court is against the opinion that the defendants should be kept in custody for 25 days while the investigation is done on the basis of the request from the district attorney’s office to extend the deadline.
