Global Money Week: Insurance Authority conducting Insurance Awareness Program Across the Country, Special preference to students
Kathmandu: Nepal Insurance Authority has been conducting insurance awareness program across the country on the occasion of Global Money Week. In the collaboration with the National Bank, the Authority has been conducting such programs among students and other stakeholders throughout the week.
Insurance Authority’s Information officer, Nirmal Adhikari said that the insurance companies in all seven provinces have been instructed to organize financial awareness and insurance-related interaction programs. In addition, he said, “We are conducting insurance awareness programs in various locations in coordination with the relevant agencies, stakeholders and local governments to make ‘the Global Money Week’, a success.”
The official also said that during the ‘Global Money Week’ (which will be conducted for a week), the Insurance Authority is planning a program to give information about the importance of insurance and the process of getting insurance as well as including the payment of claims, especially among students.
In the various educational and morning-shift programs organized by the Central Bank on the same occasion, the Insurance Authority has also issued instructions to various Life and Non-life insurance companies for mandatory participation.
In order to participate in the Morning-shift program organized in Madhesh Province, the Madhesh Province Office of the Insurance Authority has also instructed all the branches of Life, Non-life and Micro Insurance companies who have got lisence to attend the program. Birganj branch head of Sun Nepal Life, Shreeram Prasad also expressed his thanks to the authority for providing the opportunity to participate in the program.
The Central Bank of Nepal has started this program from 5th of Chaitra, 2080 B.S in collaboration with various organizations. The program was inaugurated by Governor of Central Bank of Nepal, Mr. Mahaprasad Adhikari. Organizations of various economic sectors of Nepal celebrate this program as a festival.
