Saraswati Shrestha: A Model of Perseverance and Success at Citizen Life Insurance
Kathmandu, Saraswati Shrestha, who transitioned from running a small tea shop to becoming a successful insurance agent, has emerged as a standout performer at Citizen Life Insurance. Within a year of joining the company, she has made remarkable strides, leveraging her financial knowledge, communication skills, and dedication.
Hailing from Likhu Tamakoshi Rural Municipality in Ramechhap district, Shrestha moved to Kathmandu in 2072 to provide a better education for her children. Alongside managing her tea shop, she honed her people skills, which later proved crucial in her new career.
Encouraged by Gopal Shrestha of Citizen Life, Saraswati officially became an insurance agent in August 2080. Despite initial fears and challenges, her hard work has paid off, and she now serves as the agency manager at Citizen Life’s Suryavinayak branch. Her commitment and persistence, even meeting potential clients multiple times to close a sale, have earned her the title of “Hero of the Day” at her branch office twice.
Shrestha’s success lies in her ability to connect with clients, understanding their needs, and overcoming misconceptions about insurance. She attributes her achievements to Citizen Life’s support through various training programs and incentives, which have helped her grow professionally.
