Siddharth Premier Insurance Donates Rs 51 Lakh to PMs Disaster Relief Fund
Kathmandu, Siddharth Premier Insurance Company has contributed Rs 51 lakh to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts. The donation aims to assist with relief and reconstruction efforts following severe floods and landslides in central and eastern Nepal, including Kathmandu, caused by continuous rainfall last month.
In a ceremony held this afternoon, Suresh Lal Shrestha, Chairman of Siddharth Premier Insurance, handed over the Rs 51 lakh cheque to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. The company stated that the donation was made to support the communities affected by the natural disaster.
This contribution marks the highest amount donated by an insurance company for disaster relief efforts. Siddharth Premier Insurance has set an example within the sector with its substantial support for the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.
Prime Minister Oli expressed his gratitude for the company’s support, acknowledging the importance of such contributions in providing timely relief to those impacted by the floods and landslides. The ceremony was also attended by CEO Sumit Kedia, Chief Executive Officer Birendra Baidawar, Company Secretary Sudarshan Acharya, and other senior officials of Siddharth Premier Insurance.
