Spandan Global Events Embarks on 100-Country Art Journey to Showcase Indian Culture

November 13th, 2024

Kathmandu, Spandan Global Events and Publications has launched the Spandan Global Art Journey, a remarkable international campaign set to span 100 countries in 100 months, showcasing the rich diversity of Indian art across the world. Following its extensive National Art Journey, which hosted 133 events in every Indian state and union territory, Spandan is now expanding its reach globally to bring Indian art to audiences on seven continents.

The Spandan Global Art Journey has already hosted exhibitions in London, Georgia, Greece, and Nepal. This initial momentum is set to continue with an ambitious lineup across 27 countries in the European Union, where Spandan is working with cultural organizations, Indian embassies, and art institutions to bring unique exhibitions to local communities.

Anant Vikas Jain, the curator and organizer of Spandan Global Events, shared that this journey aims to offer struggling but talented Indian artists a platform on the world stage. He noted that beyond simply displaying artwork, Spandan hopes to foster a global appreciation for India’s cultural heritage, encouraging tourism and trade in Indian art and handicrafts.

Spandan is also documenting the journey in Spandan Artbeat, its international art magazine, which will release six special issues dedicated to the events, featuring profiles of artists, highlights from the exhibitions, and insights into the art cultures of participating European nations.

Additionally, Spandan is launching a Global Star Artist Group, inviting artists worldwide to join this exclusive circle for the chance to showcase their work in up to five EU countries. Group members gain access to global exposure, branding opportunities, and connections within the international art community.

The initiative began with high-profile curtain-raiser events at The Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai and Artizen Art Gallery in New Delhi, symbolizing Spandan’s commitment to building bridges between cultures and connecting art lovers, collectors, and creators worldwide.
