Devraj Dhungana to Lead Both Nepal Reinsurance Company and Security Printing Center
Kathmandu – Devraj Dhungana, Chairperson of Nepal Reinsurance Company, has been appointed as the Executive Director of the Security Printing Center by the Government of Nepal. Despite his new role, Dhungana will continue to serve as Chairperson of Nepal Reinsurance Company, a position he assumed in Kartik this year.
According to Surendra Thapa, CEO of Nepal Reinsurance Company, the Chairperson’s role does not require full-time involvement, allowing Dhungana to manage both responsibilities effectively. The company clarified to regulatory authorities that the Chairperson’s duties do not entail a full-time workload, making it feasible for him to continue his leadership role.
The Cabinet, in its decision on Mangsir 28 (December 13), appointed Dhungana as the Executive Director of the Security Printing Center. Government spokesperson Gurung announced the decision, which is aimed at enhancing the center’s operations.
Under Dhungana’s leadership, the Security Printing Center plans to expand its activities, including managing excise duties, issuing smart cards, producing land ownership certificates, passports, and eventually printing currency. Dhungana is expected to play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and modernization of the center.
