Non-Life Insurance Companies Collect Rs 17.17 Billion in Premiums in First Five Months
Kathmandu – Non-life insurance companies in Nepal have collected a total of Rs 17.17 billion in premiums during the first five months of the current fiscal year.
According to the data released by Nepal Insurance Authority, 14 non-life insurance companies operating in the country have successfully garnered this significant sum in the first five monbths of the current fiscal year.
Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance has emerged as the top performer, securing a remarkable Rs 2.19 billion in premiums during this period. Followed by Siddhartha Premier Insurance with Rs 1.76 billion in premiums sand Shikhar Insurance Rs 1.64 billion.
Other notable performers include include IGI Prudential Insurance, which collected Rs 1.45 billion, Neco Insurance, with Rs 1.40 billion. and Himalayan Everest Insurance with Rs 1.40 billion in premiums.
In addition, NLG Insurance, The Oriental Insurance, and United Ajod Insurance have also demonstrated strong performance, collecting Rs 1.13 billion, Rs 1.12 billion, and Rs 1.2 billion in premiums, respectively.
Sanima GIC, Nepal Insurance, Prabhu Insurance, Rastriya Bima Company, and National Insurance have collected Rs 997.4 million, Rs 944.6 million, Rs 766.8 million, Rs 671.1 million, and Rs 543.4 million in premiums, respectively.
