Nepal Insurance Invests Over Rs 4.26 Billion in First Quarter
Kathmandu – Nepal Insurance Company Limited has invested a total of over Rs 4.26 billion across various sectors by the end of the first quarter of the current fiscal year, according to data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority.
The majority of the company’s investments are in term deposits with ‘A’ class banks, amounting to Rs 3.13 billion. Additionally, the company has invested Rs 417.5 million in term deposits with ‘B’ class banks and Rs 204.7 million with ‘C’ class banks.
Nepal Insurance has not allocated any funds to preference shares of banks, shares of investment companies, agricultural products, solar energy, roads, education, health, or unlisted company shares.
However, the company has diversified its investments into other areas, including Rs 685 million in shares of listed companies, Rs 381 million in bonds and debentures of listed companies, Rs 7.3 million in other promoter shares, Rs 51.3 million in citizens’ investment trust and mutual funds, and Rs 4.7 million in other investments.
