Two-Day Marine Insurance Workshop Concludes Successfully in Kathmandu
Kathmandu – A two-day training workshop on marine insurance, organized by Insurance Protective Services, concluded on Thursday at Hotel Royal Singi, Durbarmarg. The workshop saw the participation of over 50 employees from non-life insurance and reinsurance companies, aiming to enhance their knowledge and capacity in marine insurance.
The event was inaugurated by Chunky Chhetri, President of the Nepal Insurance Association and CEO of Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance, alongside Anjan Dhakal, Managing Director of Insurance Protective Services. Dignitaries such as former Executive Director of the Nepal Insurance Authority, Raju Raman Poudel, and professor Dr. Fatta Bahadur KC also attended.
The training sessions were conducted by Samiran Lahiri, Executive Director and CEO of Preferred Partners Insurance Brokers (India), focusing on key aspects of marine insurance. Participants acknowledged the program’s value in boosting expertise in the Nepali insurance sector.
The workshop was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the insurance industry’s capacity and contribute to professional development.
