Micro-Life Insurance Companies Collect Rs 512.9 Million in Premiums
Kathmandu – The three micro-life insurance companies operating in Nepal have collectively earned Rs 512.9 million in insurance premiums during the first six months of the current fiscal year, according to data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority.
Guardian Micro Life Insurance led the sector, recording premiums worth over Rs 202 million by the end of the Poush month. Crest Micro Life Insurance followed, collecting more than Rs 186.4 million, while Liberty Micro Life Insurance earned nearly Rs 124.5 million in premiums during the same period.
The combined number of active insurance policies across these three companies has reached 669,244, highlighting the growing role of micro-life insurance in expanding financial inclusion.
