Non-Life Microinsurance Companies Earn Over Rs 422.9 Million in Premiums
Kathmandu – The Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA) has reported that the four non-life microinsurance companies operating in Nepal collected a combined premium of over Rs 422.9 million during the first six months of the current fiscal year.
Among the companies, Nepal Micro Insurance Company led the sector, earning Rs 124.1 million in premiums by the end of the Poush month. Protective Micro Insurance followed with Rs 103.7 million, while Star Micro Insurance collected Rs 98.2 million. Trust Micro Insurance also recorded a total premium of Rs 96.8 million during the same period.
The companies issued a total of 168,471 insurance policies during this time.
