Citizen Life Insurance Announces 8th Annual General Meeting

Kathmandu – Citizen Life Insurance Company Limited has scheduled its 8th Annual General Meeting (AGM) for March 28, 2025. The company’s board of directors, in a meeting held on February 28, decided to hold the AGM at Amrapali Banquet, Naxal, Kathmandu.

The AGM will discuss and approve key financial resolutions, including the distribution of 26.98% bonus shares and a 1.42% cash dividend (for tax purposes) based on the company’s paid-up capital.

Additionally, a special proposal will be presented to amend the company’s charter, as the paid-up capital is set to reach Rs. 5 billion after the bonus share distribution. The meeting will also approve expenses and authorize the board of directors for necessary actions.

Other agendas include the approval of the annual financial statements, the company’s annual report for the previous fiscal year, and the appointment and remuneration of the auditor for the current year.

For the purpose of the AGM and dividend distribution, the company has announced a book closure on March 12. Shareholders listed as of March 11 will be eligible to participate in the meeting and receive dividends.
