Srijana Shrestha: Rising as a Model Insurance Agent at Citizen Life

Kathmandu – Life often takes unexpected turns, and for Srijana Shrestha, the journey into the insurance sector was no different. Overcoming numerous challenges, she has established herself as a leading agency manager at Citizen Life Insurance, setting an inspiring example in the industry.

A resident of Buddhanagar, Butwal, Shrestha has been associated with Citizen Life for the past two years. With the company’s strong bonus policies and extensive training, she has quickly risen through the ranks to become the top agency manager at the Butwal branch. Her success is attributed to her politeness, financial knowledge, and commitment to the profession.

Shrestha completed her SLC in 2057 BS. She was initially engaged in running a fancy clothing store, but a suggestion from her neighbor Kopila Thapa, also an agent at Citizen Life, introduced her to the insurance sector. Despite having no prior knowledge, she took the leap, motivated by the company’s commitment to ensuring financial security for clients.

Shrestha officially became an agent on Baisakh 7, 2079 BS ( 2022 AD). With an existing network from her previous business, she was able to quickly establish herself in the insurance field. Encouraged by her family, she decided to leave her shop and focus entirely on insurance, participating in multiple training programs that deepened her expertise. Her work has also played a crucial role in funding her son’s higher education in the UK, proving the impact of her profession on her personal life.

As for her achievemnts, she has achieved Citizen Life’s prestigious Diamond Club membership for consecutive years and was recognized as the “Hero of the Month” five times. She also met the MDRT target for 2025, a major milestone in the insurance industry.

Her ultimate goal is to achieve TOT (Top of the Table) recognition and become a Citizen Star within the company. Despite the challenges and competition in the insurance business, she remains committed to educating people about financial security and helping them make informed decisions about their future.
