Nepal Insurance to Hold 76th AGM, Proposes 15% Bonus Share Distribution

Kathmandu – Nepal Insurance Company Limited has announced its 76th Annual General Meeting (AGM) for April 1 at 11 a.m. The meeting will be held at Nepal Pragya Pratishthan, Kamaladi, Kathmandu. The decision was made during a board of directors meeting on March 10.
The AGM will discuss key proposals, including the distribution of a 15 percent bonus share and a 0.79 percent cash dividend (for tax purposes) based on the company’s current paid-up capital. Additionally, the meeting will seek approval to authorize the board of directors to amend the company’s articles of association and regulations following the issuance of 40 percent right shares and bonus shares, which will increase the company’s issued and paid-up capital.
Other agenda items include the approval of the financial statements for the last fiscal year, the appointment of an auditor for the current year, determining remuneration, and approving expenses incurred under corporate social responsibility (CSR).
The company has announced its book closure on March 20 for the purposes of the meeting and dividend distribution. Only permanent shareholders listed until March 19 will be eligible to participate in the meeting and receive dividends.
