National Life Insurance Records 5.19% Rise in Net Profit of the Current Fiscal Year

Kathmandu — National Life Insurance Company Limited has posted a net profit of Rs 408.5 million by the end of Chaitra in the current fiscal year, marking a 5.19 percent increase from Rs 388.3 million during the same period last year.
The rise in profit has been accompanied by an improvement in the company’s earnings per share (EPS), which climbed from Rs 10.33 last year to Rs 10.49 this year.
National Life’s net interest income increased by 11.24 percent, reaching Rs 14.7 billion, compared to Rs 12.62 billion in the previous year. The company’s total income grew to Rs 19.37 billion from Rs 17.5 billion, while total expenses rose to Rs 18.32 billion, up from Rs 16.4 billion.
The company has a share capital of Rs 5.21 billion. It maintains a disaster fund of Rs 610.6 million, a reserve fund of around Rs 850 million, and a share premium of Rs 27.8 million.The company’s net worth per share currently stands at Rs 136.47.
