Rastriya Jeewan Beema Company Records Over Rs 15.4 Million Profit In Q3 of Current Fiscal Year

Kathmandu — Rastriya Jeewan Beema Company Limited has reported a net profit of Rs 15.4 million in the third quarter of the current fiscal year, as per its financial statement published today. Despite the profit, the figure marks a sharp decline of 37.10 percent compared to the Rs 24.5 million net profit posted during the same period last fiscal year.

As profit margins shrank, the company witnessed a modest rise in its net insurance premium income. Additionally, net premium income rose slightly by 0.56 percent from Rs 7.69 billion last year to Rs 7.73 billion this year.

However, the company’s total income dropped by 8.44 percent year-on-year, declining from Rs 12.44 billion to Rs 11.39 billion. On the other hand, total expenses decreased by 4.94 percent, from Rs 11.41 billion to Rs 10.85 billion.

The company currently holds a paid-up capital of Rs 181 million, with Rs 30.5 million allocated to its disaster fund and Rs 623.3 million in its reserve fund. Despite the reduced profit, the company’s earnings per share (EPS) stand at Rs 17.04, down from Rs 18.06 in the previous year.
