Chiranjibi Adhikari Elected as Senior Vice President of CAN Federation

Kathmandu — Veteran IT expert Chiranjibi Adhikari has been unanimously elected as the Senior Vice President of the Computer Association of Nepal Federation (CAN), marking a significant leadership transition in the country’s premier information technology organization.
Adhikari, who has served in Nepal’s information and communication technology sector for over two decades, was selected from among the six vice presidents of the Federation. In the same round of elections, Thakur Kumar Shrestha was elected as the Koshi Provincial Secretary, Narayan Shrestha as the Lumbini Provincial Secretary, Keshab Bhattarai as Institutional Group Secretary, and Dipendra Poudel as Personal Group Secretary.
A resident of Bharatpur, Adhikari is widely regarded as a thought leader in the digital policy landscape. His articles on cyber security and AI have been featured in several national and international journals. In 2024, he was recognized with the prestigious ‘ICT Excellence Award’ for his outstanding contributions to the development of Nepal’s IT ecosystem.
