Dr. Laxmi Kant Poudel Appointed CEO of Insurance Institute of Nepal
Kathmandu – Dr. Laxmi Kant Poudel has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Insurance Institute of Nepal (IIN).
The position, previously overseen by the Executive Director of the Nepal Insurance Authority, was recently opened for applications. Dr. Poudel has been selected for a four-year term following the competitive selection process.
The decision comes in light of concerns over potential conflict of interest, as both institutions operate closely within Nepal’s insurance sector. To ensure transparency and institutional independence, the Authority decided to separate the roles and hand over the leadership of IIN to a dedicated CEO.
