New Zealand Deputy Prime Minister Winston Peters Arrives in Kathmandu for Official Visit

Kathmandu – New Zealand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Winston Peters arrived in Kathmandu today for a two-day official visit to Nepal.

During his stay, Deputy Prime Minister Peters is scheduled to pay courtesy calls on President Ram Chandra Paudel and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. The visit is expected to reinforce the longstanding diplomatic relations between Nepal and New Zealand.

Peters will also hold a bilateral meeting with Nepal’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Arzu Rana Deuba. The two counterparts are likely to discuss matters of mutual interest, including cooperation in trade, education, climate change, and development assistance.
