Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance and Chirayu Hospital Forge Strategic Partnership to Enhance Healthcare and Insurance Access

Kathmandu — In a move aimed at bridging the gap between healthcare services and financial protection, Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance Company Limited and Chirayu National Hospital and Medical Institute have signed a strategic partnership agreement.

The agreement was officially signed by Santosh Prasai, Chief Executive Officer of Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance, and Chandreshwor N.R. Vaidya, Director of Operations at Chirayu Hospital. The signing ceremony was attended by Kishor Prasad Lamichhane, Deputy CEO of Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life, and Basanta Khanal, Business Development Officer of Chirayu Hospital.

Under the terms of the one-year agreement, Chirayu Hospital will offer special healthcare discounts to Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life’s employees, agents, shareholders, and their dependent family members. These include a 15% discount on bed charges, 10% on in-hospital diagnostic tests, and 5% on medicine purchases. Additionally, free ambulance services will be available within the Kathmandu Valley, along with special discounts ranging from 10% to 25% for patients referred by the insurance company.

In return, Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance will provide tailored life insurance plans for the employees of Chirayu Hospital. The premium costs for these insurance policies will be fully borne by the hospital, ensuring added financial security and peace of mind for its staff.

Both institutions have expressed strong confidence that the partnership will benefit not only their direct stakeholders—employees, agents, and shareholders—but also the broader community by making healthcare more accessible and promoting insurance awareness in Nepal.
