Life Insurers Earn Rs 2.75 Billion in Foreign Employment Insurance Premiums

Kathmandu — Life insurance companies in Nepal have collected a total of Rs 2.752 billion in foreign employment insurance premiums by the end of the 11th month of the current fiscal year, according to data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority.
Among the 14 life insurers, Sun Nepal Life Insurance has emerged as the top earner in this segment, generating Rs 446.9 million from foreign employment insurance premiums.
Nepal Life Insurance secured the second position with Rs 317.6 million, followed by IME Life Insurance in third with Rs 271.1 million. Suryajyoti Life and Sanima Reliance Life rounded out the top five, collecting Rs 246.7 million and Rs 218.3 million, respectively.
As for other companies, National Life collected Rs 211.9 million, Asian Life earned Rs 196.9 million, Citizen Life brought in Rs 193.4 million, Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life secured Rs 151.6 million, and both Rastriya Jeevan Beema Company and Himalayan Life earned Rs 146.8 million each.
