Nepal Life Insurance Sets Industry Record with Rs 10 Billion in First-Year Premium Income

Kathmandu – Nepal Life Insurance, a leading name in Nepal’s life insurance industry, has set a historic benchmark by becoming the first life insurer in the country to earn over Rs 10 billion in first-year premium income within a single fiscal year.
The company’s new business income increased by 22 percent compared to the previous fiscal year, when it had earned Rs 8.22 billion in first-year premiums. This growth reflects Nepal Life’s strong market presence, strategic planning, and robust operational performance.
According to the company, this milestone was made possible through the dedicated efforts of all employees, managers, and insurance agents, combined with an effective administrative system and customer-focused business strategies. The coordinated work at both branch and sub-branch levels played a crucial role in achieving this success.
Nepal Life currently offers 17 insurance plans, each with various rider options, and operates through a nationwide network of agents. These agents, numbering in the lakhs, have been instrumental in reaching new customers and promoting insurance awareness across the country.
The company’s sales performance has been further strengthened by regular training, refresher programs, and policy reviews, which are developed in close consultation between agents and management. This collaborative approach has ensured alignment between field operations and strategic objectives.
With this achievement, Nepal Life Insurance has not only reaffirmed its leadership in the market but also demonstrated the potential for sustainable growth in Nepal’s insurance sector. The record-setting premium income marks a significant step forward in expanding life insurance coverage and financial protection for citizens across the country.
