Infomatics Reaffirms ‘A-’ Issuer Rating for Nepal Insurance Company

Kathmandu — Infomatics Credit Rating Nepal Limited has reaffirmed the ‘IRN A- (IS)’ [Single A minus (Issuer)] rating for Nepal Insurance Company Limited, maintaining the credit standing initially issued in July 2025.
This rating reflects an adequate level of financial security, indicating that the company is capable of meeting its financial obligations on time and poses a low credit risk to investors. According to financial analysts, companies with an ‘IRN A-’ rating are considered to have a better-than-average financial position and offer relative safety for investments.
Infomatics Nepal cited several key factors behind the reaffirmation, including Nepal Insurance Company’s long-standing market presence, a strong and experienced promoter group, consistent profitability, reinsurance income, and an adequate solvency ratio.
Nepal Insurance Company holds the distinction of being the first insurance provider in the country to offer uninterrupted insurance services over an extended period.
