LIC Nepal’s Top Agents Make Historic Business Gains in Fiscal Year 2081/82

Kathmandu — Life Insurance Corporation (Nepal) has recorded impressive growth in the fiscal year 2081/82, propelled by the exceptional performance of its agents across the country. Among thousands of agents affiliated with the company, three have stood out by achieving remarkable business milestones — Purna Bahadur Khadka, Ram Kumar Adhikari, and Prabha Gyawali.
Purna Bahadur Khadka, based in Kathmandu, topped the list by conducting life insurance business worth Rs 90 million under his code. He achieved this feat by selling 125 insurance policies by the end of the fiscal year, establishing himself as a diligent, hardworking, and highly regarded figure within LIC Nepal. Known for his commitment and friendly approach, Khadka has played a crucial role in bringing thousands of Kathmandu Valley residents under the protection of life insurance.
Securing the second spot, Ram Kumar Adhikari from the Hetauda branch has also demonstrated an outstanding level of professionalism and capability. With 159 insurance policies sold during the fiscal year, Adhikari managed to generate a business volume of Rs 60.3 million through his code. Apart from his agency work, he is also known for his leadership as the central president of the Professional Insurance Agents Association (LIC Nepal), further adding to his credibility and influence within the industry.
Meanwhile, Prabha Gyawali from the Nawalparasi branch stood third by conducting Rs 35.2 million worth of insurance business under her code. She sold 288 insurance policies by end of the fiscal year and was honored with the prestigious Court of the Table (COT) designation for 2026 — a mark of excellence in the insurance profession globally. Gyawali’s disciplined work ethic and result-oriented approach have helped her surpass peers who, as insiders say, often promise much but deliver little.
LIC Nepal has consistently emphasized the role of its agents in driving the company’s growth. Throughout the year, it has organized numerous capacity-building initiatives and training programs aimed at enhancing agent performance. The company acknowledges that such impressive results are not merely individual triumphs but collective outcomes of a system that nurtures, empowers, and rewards hard work.
In recognition of these top performers, LIC Nepal has extended its appreciation not only to the three standout agents but also to its wider agent network. The company expressed gratitude for its continued contribution to making life insurance accessible to a growing number of citizens across Nepal.
