Non-Life Insurance Sector Records Rs Nearly 44 Billion in Premiums for FY 2081/82

Kathmandu — The 14 non-life insurance companies operating in Nepal collectively recorded a business volume of nearly Rs 44 billion in the last fiscal year 2081/82, according to financial statements released by the Nepal Insurance Authority.
During the period, non-life insurers posted a combined premium income of Rs 43.96 billion. Among them, Shikhar Insurance Company Limited led the market with premium earnings of Rs 5.79 billion, securing the top position in the sector.
Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance followed with Rs 5.20 billion in premium income, while Siddhartha Premier Insurance reported Rs 4.31 billion. Himalayan Everest Insurance earned Rs 4.10 billion, IGI Prudential Insurance posted Rs 3.86 billion, and Neco Insurance collected Rs 3.28 billion in premiums.
Other notable performers included NLG Insurance with Rs 3.06 billion, United Ajod Insurance with Rs 2.78 billion, and The Oriental Insurance with Rs 2.70 billion. Nepal Insurance Company earned Rs 2.30 billion, Rastriya Beema Company reported Rs 1.37 billion, National Insurance Company collected Rs 1.60 billion, and Prabhu Insurance earned Rs 1.86 billion in premiums.
