SuryaJyoti Life Insurance Reports Steady Growth in FY 2081/82, Insurance Fund Grew By 25.50 Percent

Kathmandu — SuryaJyoti Life Insurance Company Limited has reported a steady financial performance for the last fiscal year 2081/82, with notable growth across key indicators.
According to the company’s fourth quarter financial statement, its net profit rose by 1.45 percent, reaching Rs 350.2 million by the end of Ashar 2082, compared to Rs 345.2 million in the previous fiscal year.
The company’s net insurance premium surged by 22.83 percent, reaching Rs 11.18 billion, while total income climbed from Rs 12.66 billion to Rs 15.13 billion. During the same period, total expenses increased from Rs 12.7 billion to Rs 14.52 billion.
Agent commission payouts also saw a sharp rise, with the company spending Rs 1.22 billion last fiscal year — up 17.52 percent from Rs 870.3 million in the previous year.
The company’s life insurance fund grew by 25.50 percent to Rs 42.31 billion, compared to Rs 33.71 billion the year before. Earnings per share (EPS) improved slightly to Rs 6.99, while net worth per share stood at Rs 126.85.
SuryaJyoti Life Insurance has maintained a strong capital base, with a paid-up capital of Rs 5.01 billion, alongside a disaster fund of Rs 394.6 million and retained earnings of Rs 472 million.
