Met Life Insurance Reports Rs 496.1 Million Profit, Insurance Fund Rose by 15.54 Percent

Kathmandu – Met Life Insurance Company Limited has released its financial statements for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2081/82, reflecting a mixed performance across key financial indicators.
According to the report, the company’s net profit stood at Rs 496.1 million, marking a significant decline of 40 percent compared to the previous fiscal year, when it had earned Rs 827.915 million. Despite this drop in profit, other indicators show a positive trend.
The size of Met Life’s life insurance fund rose by 15.54 percent to Rs 29.58 billion, up from Rs 25.60 billion in the previous fiscal year. The company also reported a growth in net insurance premiums, which reached Rs 6.01 billion, reflecting a 10.15 percent increase from Rs 5.45 billion the previous year.
Total income of the company increased to Rs 8.99 billion from Rs 8.35 billion, while total expenses rose from Rs 7.10 billion to Rs 8.6 billion. Commission Expenses also increased by 8.59 percent, reaching Rs 528 million compared to Rs 486.3 million in the previous fiscal year.
