IME Life Insurance Expands Life Insurance Fund to Rs 13.10 Billion, Total Income Increases by 20%

Kathmandu — IME Life Insurance Company Limited has reported substantial growth in its life insurance fund for the fiscal year 2081/82, reaching Rs 13.10 billion — a 42.97% increase from Rs 9.16 billion in the previous year.
The company’s retained earning stands at Rs 655.4 million, while its catastrophe fund has grown by 32.14% to Rs 255.3 million. Net insurance premium income rose by 21.21% to Rs 5.06 billion, compared to Rs 4.01 billion last year.
Total income increased by 20.08% to Rs 7.18 billion from Rs 5.98 billion in the previous fiscal year. However, the company’s net profit declined by 5.54% to Rs 583.3 million, down from Rs 617.4 million a year earlier, bringing its earnings per share (EPS) to Rs 11.67.
During the review period, IME Life distributed Rs 577.3 million in commission expenses, marking a 14.65% rise from last year. The company currently has 474,000 active insurance policies in force.
