Sun Nepal Life Earns Rs 542.4 Million Profit, Life Insurance Fund Hits Rs 10.10 Billion

Kathmandu — Sun Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited has reported a net profit of Rs 542.4 million for the fiscal year 2081/82, a slight dip of 5.62% from the prior fiscal year.
However, the company had a significant growth in its life insurance fund. The company’s life insurance fund had reached Rs 10.10 billion, up from Rs 7.60 billion prior year, marking a 32.86% increase.
With a paid-up capital of Rs 5 billion, the company collected insurance net premiums worth Rs 4.32 billion during the review period, a rise of 25.30% increase. The company settled claims amounting to Rs 4.5 billion, up from Rs 3.88 billion a year earlier.
Based on last year’s performance, Sun Nepal Life’s earnings per share stood at Rs 11.22, while net worth per share was recorded at Rs 154.23.
