Asian Life Insurance Posts 24.57% Profit Growth, Life Insurance Fund Reaches Rs 47.7 Billion

Kathmandu — Asian Life Insurance Company Limited has reported strong financial performance for the fiscal year 2081/82, with net profit surging by 24.57% to Rs 409.3 million, compared to Rs 328.5 million in the previous year.

The company’s catastrophe fund stands at Rs 279.6 million, while its reserve fund has reached Rs 805.6 million. During the review period, Asian Life expanded its life insurance fund by 10.52% to Rs 47.7 billion, up from Rs 42.58 billion last year.

Total insurance premium income rose by 16.86% to Rs 9.40 billion from Rs 8.05 billion in the previous fiscal year. The company also spent Rs 817 million on agent commissions, an increase from Rs 727.5 million a year earlier.

Asian Life disbursed Rs 5.13 billion in policy loans, up 4.44% from Rs 4.91 billion last year. With a paid-up capital of Rs 3.39 billion, the company posted earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 12.04 and a net worth per share of Rs 135.05.
