Prabhu Insurance Reports 211.9 Million in Profit, Total Income Rises by 9.36 Percent

Kathmandu – Prabhu Insurance Limited has reported robust financial performance for the last fiscal year, reflecting growth across key business and profitability indicators.
According to the company’s recently published financial statements, Prabhu Insurance earned a net profit of Rs 211.9 million by the end of the last fiscal year, marking a 39.24 percent increase from Rs 152.2 million in the previous year.
The company’s business operations also showed steady growth. Net insurance premiums rose by 10.76 percent, from Rs 573.2 million last year to Rs 634.9 million, while the total insurance fund increased by 33.86 percent, from Rs 2.2 billion to Rs 2.7 billion.
Total income of the company increased from Rs 879.7 million to Rs 962.1 million, while total expenses rose modestly from Rs 642.2 million to Rs 659.3 million. Interestingly, the company reduced commission payouts to agents from Rs 63 million to Rs 38.2 million.
With the growth in net profit and income, earnings per share rose from Rs 10.56 to Rs 14.70, while net worth per share remained stable at Rs 253. The company’s paid-up capital stands at Rs 1.44 billion, supported by Rs 102.6 million in the catastrophe fund, Rs 444.3 million in the reserve fund, and Rs 1.23 billion in the special reserve.
