Rastriya Jeevan Beema Company Reports 20.8 Million in Net Profit

Kathmandu — Rastriya Jeevan Beema Company Limited has reported a net profit of Rs 20.8 million in the last fiscal year, reflecting a 16 percent decline compared to Rs 20.47 million in the previous fiscal year.
Despite the fall in profit, the company’s insurance fund grew significantly. The life insurance fund, which stood at Rs 54.69 billion in the previous fiscal year, increased by 13.88 percent to reach Rs 62.28 billion.
According to the company’s financial statement, net insurance premium income rose by 5.76 percent—from Rs 904 million to Rs 956.1 million. However, overall income fell from Rs 15.15 billion to Rs 14.4 billion, while total expenses also decreased slightly from Rs 13.88 billion to Rs 13.4 billion.
The Company has a paid-up capital of Rs 181 million. Its catastrophe fund stands at Rs 30.9 million, while the retained earning is recorded at Rs 463.8 million.
The company’s earnings per share (EPS) declined to Rs 11.49 in the last fiscal year, compared to Rs 13.68 in the previous year.
