Public Notice Issued for Appointment of Nepal Insurance Authority Chairman

Kathmandu — The Chairman Selection Committee of the Nepal Insurance Authority has issued a public notice inviting applications for the post of Chairman, setting a seven-day deadline for submission.

According to the notice, any Nepali citizen who meets the legal qualifications may apply for the position. Applicants are required to submit a confidential application along with proof of eligibility and an action plan to the Financial Sector Management and Corporate Coordination Division of the Ministry of Finance at Singha Durbar, Kathmandu, during office hours within the stipulated deadline. The division has been designated as the liaison office of the committee.

The committee has set an application fee of Rs. 7,500, which must be deposited in Rastriya Banijya Bank. The appointment will be made through an open competition process, ensuring equal opportunity for qualified candidates.

The position became vacant after the Council of Ministers relieved the former Chairman, Sharad Ojha, of his responsibilities. Subsequently, on Bhadra 20, the government formed a three-member recommendation committee to oversee the selection process, which comprises National Planning Commission Vice-Chairman Prof. Dr. Shiva Raj Adhikari, Finance Secretary Dr. Ghanshyam Upadhyaya, and expert member Dr. Khom Raj Kharel.
