LIC Nepal Marks 24 Years of Service, Enters Silver Jubilee Year

Kathmandu – Life Insurance Corporation (Nepal) Limited (LIC Nepal) has completed 24 years of service and entered its 25th year since its establishment on September 1, 2001. The company, a leading player in Nepal’s insurance industry, has consistently expanded the scope of insurance services and worked to raise awareness about insurance across the country.
To mark the occasion, LIC Nepal organized an anniversary program where agents, agency managers, and special guests were honored for their outstanding contributions. Executive Director of the Nepal Insurance Authority, Sushil Dev Subedi, attended the ceremony as the chief guest, alongside LIC Nepal Director Komal Agrawal.
Agents Purna Bahadur Khadka and Ram Kumar Adhikari were recognized for leading in first insurance premium collections, while agency manager Rita Khatiwada received top honors in her category.
Addressing the event, LIC Nepal CEO and Director Pranaya Kumar expressed pride in the company’s achievements, noting that despite challenging circumstances, LIC Nepal has gained the trust of the public by helping minimize life risks through insurance. He highlighted that the company achieved a historic milestone in renewal fee collection this year and now ranks second in Nepal in terms of life insurance fund. Kumar extended gratitude to regulatory authorities, the board of directors, shareholders, employees, and policyholders for their contribution to the company’s growth.
Chief guest Subedi praised LIC Nepal as a “university of Nepal’s insurance sector,” acknowledging its role in nurturing skilled professionals for the industry. He expressed confidence in the company’s continued growth and encouraged further efforts to elevate LIC Nepal’s achievements in the years ahead.
