Sun Nepal Life Concludes AML-CFT and Corporate Governance Training

Kathmandu – Sun Nepal Life Insurance has successfully completed a special training program on Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML-CFT), alongside corporate governance, with the objective of enhancing employee capacity and reinforcing transparency within the financial system. The training was held at Hotel Central Plaza, Kohalpur.
The sessions were facilitated by Sushil Dev Subedi, Executive Director of the Nepal Insurance Authority, and Padam Prasad Sodari, Deputy Director. They highlighted the growing global risks of money laundering and terrorist financing and emphasized the importance of timely awareness and preparedness within Nepal’s insurance sector.
The program saw active participation from branch heads representing the Narayani, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Senior management, including CEO Raj Kumar Aryal, Deputy CEO Kabi Phuyal, Chief Market Officer Ganesh Chaulagai, and department heads, were also present.
Sun Nepal Life currently operates its life insurance business through 143 branches nationwide.
