Non-life insurance Companies to resume services even during Dashain

Kathmandu – Non-life insurance companies in Nepal have stepped up efforts to settle unprecedented claims worth over Rs 23 billion arising from the damages caused by the ongoing Gen-Z protest that began on Bhadra 23 (September 8). In an extraordinary move, insurers have continued providing services even during the Dashain holidays to ensure quick relief for policyholders.
According to the Nepal Insurance Authority, 14 non-life and four micro-life insurance companies are currently engaged in processing claims linked to the movement. More than 1,800 surveyors have been mobilized nationwide to assess losses and prepare reports. The Authority has instructed insurers to accelerate settlements to provide timely support to affected clients.
