Government Cancels Extended Dashain Leave, Offices Resume from Today

Kathmandu- The government has withdrawn the two additional public holidays granted after the Dashain festival, following the improvement in weather conditions and the receding of floods across the country.
According to the decision, the extended leave has been cancelled for the western region, including the Kathmandu Valley, and regular government and financial operations are set to resume from today.
In line with the directive, the Nepal Rastra Bank, Nepal Insurance Authority, and the Securities Board of Nepal have notified their employees via SMS to return to work from today.
Similarly, banks, financial institutions, and insurance companies that remained closed during the extended holiday period will also reopen and operate as usual.
