Himalayan Everest Insurance Expedites Claim Settlements for Damages from Gen Z Protest

Kathmandu — Himalayan Everest Insurance Limited has taken swift and effective action to settle insurance claims related to damages incurred during the Gen Z protest on Bhadra 23 and 24. The company has simplified the claims process to ensure timely and convenient service for affected policyholders.

According to the company, a total of 245 insurance claims were registered following the incidents, out of which Rs. 217.44 million has already been disbursed. The payments include both advance and final settlements for insured properties damaged during the protest.

The insurer stated that its prompt and transparent claim settlement efforts have provided much-needed relief to customers and strengthened public trust in Himalayan Everest Insurance’s efficiency and reliability.

“Since the Gen Z protest, we have been processing claims smoothly by deploying surveyors to the field,” said Roj Raj Luintel, Head of the Insurance Claims Department at Himalayan Everest Insurance. “The company has also mobilized a dedicated team to ensure that claims are settled quickly and within all regulatory guidelines.”

The company further announced that claim payments will continue as usual from Tuesday, reaffirming its commitment to prioritizing client needs and providing financial support during difficult times.

Himalayan Everest Insurance has also urged remaining claimants to submit the required documents and contact their nearest branch or the central office to expedite settlement.

Expressing condolences to those who lost their lives during the protest, the company extended wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured and emphasized its continued mission to provide reliable protection and assistance when it matters most.
