Nepal Re-Insurance and Himalayan Re Leads NEPSE Turnover in the Month of Ashoj

Kathmandu — Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (Nepal Re) topped the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) in terms of share turnover during the month of Ashoj.

According to NEPSE’s monthly data, Nepal Re-Insurance recorded transactions worth over Rs 3.77 billion, the highest among all listed companies. Union Hydropower Limited followed with a turnover exceeding Rs 2.66 billion, while Himalayan Reinsurance Limited stood third with over Rs 2.3 billion.

Completing the top ten were Shivam Cement, CEDB Hydropower Development Company, NRN Infrastructure and Development, Himalayan Distillery, Muktinath Bikas Bank, Butwal Power Company, and Radhi Bidyut Company.

The secondary market remained open for 14 trading days in Ashoj, with 140.95 million units of securities worth Rs 62.60 billion traded. Compared to Bhadra, when transactions totaled Rs 97.15 billion, the overall turnover dropped by 35.56 percent.
