Sun Nepal Life Upgraded to ‘Triple B Plus’ Rating
Kathmandu – Sun Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited has received an upgraded credit rating of ‘Triple B Plus (BBB+)’ from Care Ratings Nepal Limited (CRNL), signaling stronger financial credibility and claim-paying capacity.
CRNL cited the company’s consistent premium growth, sound claims management, and improving underwriting performance as key reasons behind the upgrade. The company’s increased paid-up capital, safe investment portfolio, and strong solvency ratio have also contributed to its improved financial standing.

The company’s board of directors, chaired by Anju Kayal, and CEO Rajkumar Aryal lead operations backed by promoters from the Kayal, K.C., and Rungta groups.
