Kathmandu — The trophy tour for the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) has arrived at the head office of Sanima Reliance Life Insurance Limited in Naxal. The trophy, brought by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), was showcased during a special program held at the company premises.

Sanima Reliance Life Insurance, a co-sponsor of NPL-2, welcomed the trophy in the presence of company officials. Speaking at the event, Chairman Ratan Lal Kedia said cricket’s popularity in Nepal has been growing rapidly, and the Nepal Premier League has become an important platform for elevating national players to the international stage. He expressed pride in the company’s continued association with the tournament, noting that being a co-sponsor for a second consecutive edition reflects its commitment to supporting Nepali sports.

Wishing success to the tournament scheduled to begin at the Kirtipur Cricket Ground from Mangsir 1, Kedia added that the league plays a vital role in strengthening Nepal’s cricket ecosystem.

A unique feature of this year’s trophy is the inclusion of a black stone from the Everest region, symbolically connecting the NPL with the identity of Nepal’s mountains. The stone was safely retrieved and transported by climbers Nima Sherpa and Mingma David Sherpa, with permission and assistance from the Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation.

Sanima Reliance Life Insurance currently serves customers through 169 branches, has a paid-up capital exceeding Rs 5 billion, and holds investments of over Rs 20 billion. The company’s nationwide network includes more than 20,000 agents, enabling it to deliver life insurance services across the country.
