Siddhartha Premier Insurance Pays Over Rs 2.68 Billion in Claims in Five Months
Kathmandu – Siddhartha Premier Insurance Company Limited has settled insurance claims totaling more than Rs 2.68 billion in the first five months of the current fiscal year 2082/83 (from Shrawan to Mangsir).
A significant portion of the payouts relates to damages caused during the Gen-Z movement in the last week of Bhadra. The company has paid approximately Rs 1.68 billion for losses to national infrastructure, industrial units, commercial establishments, and private properties resulting from riots, vandalism, and arson during the movement. This amount accounts for around 40 percent of the total claims settled by all insurance companies so far for Gen-Z–related damages.
In addition to these payments, Siddhartha Premier Insurance has disbursed more than Rs 800 million toward claims unrelated to the Gen-Z movement during the same five-month period.
The company had also emerged as the leading insurer in terms of claim settlements related to flood and landslide damages in the previous fiscal year.
Siddhartha Premier Insurance stated that it remains committed to safeguarding the interests of its insured clients by ensuring prompt settlement of claims related to insured industrial, commercial, and private properties across the country. The company has urged claimants whose claims are still pending to submit the required documents at the earliest and cooperate in the claim settlement process to facilitate timely payments.
