Himalayan Life’s Sonu Baral Wins ‘One Day Emerging Star’ Award of 2026

Kathmandu – Sonu Baral, an agency manager at the Bhaisepati branch of Himalayan Life Insurance Limited, has been awarded the company’s first ‘One Day Emerging Star’ Award of 2026, setting a new performance benchmark.

Baral achieved the milestone by completing a target meant for an entire month within a single day, creating a new record under the award category. Her achievement has drawn attention within the insurance sector for its exceptional pace and performance.

Speaking on the occasion, Baral said her next goal is to become the first MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table) qualifier of 2026. She emphasized the need for insurance awareness at the grassroots level, stating that agents should reach every Nepali household to help strengthen financial security across the country.

She credited the success to the continuous guidance and support of Bhaisepati Branch Chief Hari Basnet, acknowledging his cooperation throughout the process. Baral also highlighted the role of her colleague, MDRT member Pragati Thapa of the same branch, whose encouragement and assistance were instrumental in achieving the record.
