Bonus Rates Announced on Popular Endowment Life Insurance Policies

Kathmandu – Out of the 14 life insurance companies currently operating in Nepal, 13 companies have announced new bonus rates on Endowment Life Insurance policies for the Fiscal Year 2081/82 BS. Except for the government-owned Rastriya Jeevan Beema Company, all life insurers have made their bonus rates public.

Endowment life insurance is among the most popular life insurance products in Nepal, as it provides both risk coverage and maturity benefits, along with annual bonuses.

The bonus rates announced by the companies will apply to their respective participating endowment life insurance policies, and policyholders will receive benefits accordingly. According to the insurers, the declared bonus rates will be applicable to death claims, full or partial maturity claims, surrender value claims, paid-up value claims, and active policies. The rates will remain effective until the Insurance Authority approves the next actuarial valuation.

Company-Wise Bonus Rates

Nepal Life Insurance Company has announced bonus rates ranging from NPR 60 to NPR 82 per thousand under various endowment life insurance plans, including Surakshit Jeevan, Jeevan Jyoti, Rural Endowment, Micro Endowment, Child Endowment, Nishchit Bhavishya and Education Life Insurance, Jeevan Lakshmi, and Jeevan Uday (single-premium).

National Life Insurance Company has fixed bonus rates between NPR 64 and NPR 86 per thousand, depending on the policy term, for endowment plans such as Child Education and Marriage Insurance, Group Amrit Endowment, Bhavishya Britti, Couple Amrit Endowment, Single Amrit Endowment, Savings Amrit Endowment, Sanjeevani Amrit Endowment, and Jeevan Shree Endowment Whole Life.

SuryaJyoti Life Insurance Company has announced bonus rates ranging from NPR 40 to NPR 75 for endowment life insurance policies. Similar rates apply to endowment and whole-life policies, while advance-payment endowment plans will receive bonuses of NPR 42 to NPR 60.

Citizen Life Insurance Company has declared bonus rates of NPR 38 to NPR 73 for endowment policies, NPR 40 to NPR 67 for child endowment plans, and NPR 38 to NPR 80 for Jeevan Saarathi endowment and whole-life policies.

IME Life Insurance Company has fixed bonus rates ranging from NPR 32 to NPR 70 per thousand for endowment, limited-payment endowment, and child endowment policies. Group endowment plans will receive NPR 32 to NPR 75, while endowment and whole-life policies will receive bonuses of up to NPR 80.

MetLife Nepal has announced bonus rates of NPR 50 to NPR 70 per thousand for endowment life insurance policies.

Sun Nepal Life Insurance Company has set bonus rates between NPR 33 and NPR 70 per thousand, depending on the policy term, under its endowment life insurance plans.

Sanima Reliance Life Insurance Company has declared bonus rates of NPR 35 to NPR 70 for regular endowment plans and NPR 35 to NPR 65 for single-premium endowment plans. Bonus rates for triple endowment and couple endowment plans range from NPR 20 to NPR 30, while endowment and whole-life policies will receive NPR 35 to NPR 70.

Reliable Nepal Life Insurance Company has announced bonuses of NPR 25 to NPR 75 across eight endowment insurance plans, while endowment and whole-life policies will receive NPR 30 to NPR 50.

Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance Company has set bonus rates of NPR 33 to NPR 70 for Samriddha Jeevan (single and regular), Bumper Shreebriddhi, Sunoulo Kiran, and Child Jeevan Kiran endowment plans. For Amulya Jeevan endowment and whole-life policies, bonuses range from NPR 38 to NPR 73, while advance-payment endowment plans will receive NPR 35 to NPR 51.

Asian Life Insurance Company has announced bonus rates of NPR 61 to NPR 75 for endowment and whole-life policies, NPR 45 to NPR 62 for endowment policies, NPR 42 to NPR 52 for child endowment policies, and NPR 44 to NPR 55 for group and other endowment plans.

Himalayan Life Insurance Company has fixed bonus rates of NPR 32 to NPR 63 for endowment policies, NPR 40 to NPR 75 for endowment and whole-life policies, NPR 57 to NPR 86 for advance-payment endowment plans, and NPR 52 per thousand for Jeevan Uphaar (advance-payment endowment).

LIC Nepal has announced bonus rates of NPR 49 to NPR 65 for endowment insurance policies, NPR 50 to NPR 64 for child endowment policies, and a uniform NPR 41 per thousand across all policy terms under micro endowment insurance plans.
