Himalayan Everest Insurance Completes Reconstruction of Police Unit Damaged During Gen-Z Protest

Kathmandu — Himalayan Everest Insurance Limited has successfully completed the reconstruction of the Supreme Court and Special Court Coordination Security Police Unit, which was damaged during the Gen-Z protest on Bhadra 24.

The reconstruction was carried out as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, aimed at supporting institutions responsible for safeguarding critical public infrastructure. Following the timely completion of the project, the police unit has resumed regular operations from the newly reconstructed facility.

Additional Inspector General of Police at the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Ishwor Karki, expressed appreciation to Himalayan Everest Insurance Limited for its support. He stated that the reconstruction has enabled the police unit to continue providing security to service recipients visiting the Supreme Court in pursuit of justice, as well as ensuring the safety of the court premises.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Anju Shrestha, Chief Executive Officer of Himalayan Everest Insurance Limited, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to prioritising public welfare and continuing socially responsible initiatives in the future.

In addition to reconstructing the building, the company also provided essential equipment to the police unit, including two computers, two drawers, one printer, 12 chairs, and nine tables.
